For many designers, selecting a rug means hoping to find just the right pattern and colors to compliment a predetermined collection of furnishings and fabrics. And Savnik and Company does offer a large selection of favorite weaves and patterns in colors developed to coordinate with popular palettes. For the designer whose project defies accidental matching, or for the adventurous designer eager to create a floor covering so special and exciting you could build a whole room around it, each aspect of a carpet’s personality provides the opportunity for creativity.

Size

Carpets can be made without seams in widths up to 27 feet. Shipping and installation restrictions should be considered before ordering.

Density

Pile heights range from a tight, crisp 3/8” to an abundant 3”.  Weights vary from 64 ounces to 204 ounces per square yard. Pile height and weight can be varied in a given weave. They can be increased to add luxury in a special area or decreased to meet a tighter budget. We can also accommodate for high traffic areas such as stairways & hallways with increased density to provide extra durability.

Shape

Rounds, ovals, octagons, kidney or piano shapes, L shapes, T shapes, U shapes created without seams.  Your logo, your state, your name in script, or simply a notch for the hearth. Critical room dimensions should be verified before ordering fitted rugs. Templates are preferred.

Pattern

Patterns can be created by alternating yarns, colors, or textures – high and low piles, loop and cut to create stripes, a checkerboard, diamond or diagonals.

Overtufting

Achieved by using a hand needle machine over a woven field, is a free form and relatively inexpensive way to produce trellises, dashes, letters, hieroglyphics, flowers, leaves, vines to enhance a plain field.

Color

There are 80 standard colors in the Savnik palette, yarns can also be custom matched to your samples, fabrics.

Borders

Borders of any width, with any number of bands, can be created with contrasting yarns, textures or colors. The borders are woven around the field, not sewn or taped on.

Yarn

Twenty different yarn types and sizes are available – singles, plied yarns from 2 to 4 ply, felted singles, worsted, wool/linen blends & wool/silk blends.

TEXTURE

There are over 100 textures in our library, with an unlimited number of variations.  Loop and cut and tip sheared piles.  Velvets, plushes, saxony’s & shags.
